Tutorials

We have divided the tutorials into categories:

Response-Function

  • RF1: We will show how to compute the dynamical and dielectric properties of AlAs.
  • RF2: We will show how to compute a phonon band structures and thermodynamical properties.
  • Optic: We will show how to compute frequency-dependent linear and second order nonlinear optical response.
  • El-ph: We will show how to compute electron-phonon interaction and superconducting properties of Al.
  • Elastic: We will show how to compute elastic and piezoelectric properties
  • Static: We will show how to compute electronic non-linear susceptibility, non-resonant Raman tensor and electro-optic effect.
  • Temperature: We will show how to compute the zero-point motion, the temperature-dependence and the lifetime of the electronic eigenvalues.

Many-body perturbation theory

  • GW1 : We will show how to calculate self-energy corrections to the DFT Kohn-Sham eigenvalues in the GW approximation.
  • GW2 : We will show how to do the same in the metallic case, without the use of a plasmon-pole model.
  • BSE1 : We will show how to calculate the macroscopic dielectric function including excitonic effects within the Bethe-Salpeter formalism.
